AT&t Internet service was down Thursday for most people, the carrier said.
Customers on the AT&ts network who were not on prepaid internet service were unable to access the service or download content.
AT&Ts customer service staff had a message for those who had trouble with the service, saying customers were experiencing a “service interruption.”
The company said the service interruption was affecting customers in the U.S. and Canada, and it was expected to end shortly.
Customers can check their status online or call customer service.
AT &t Internet has been the subject of criticism for its customer service practices.
In April, the company agreed to pay $1 billion in fines and give customers up to $70 monthly payments for service quality problems.
