Comcast internet service plans will increase by 20 cents per month to $75 per month in January 2019, as part of the company’s efforts to reach consumers more quickly.
The company will add up to 5 million new customers a month by that time, the company said in a statement.
“The Comcast Home Internet plans increase significantly over what was originally planned,” the company added.
A Comcast spokesperson told The Lad that the changes to its home internet plans are due to a change in the way the company analyzes its customers’ data, and that “this change was not part of a business process change.” “
Comcast Home internet plans continue to offer the best value for their money and we expect that the Comcast Home plan will remain the benchmark for home broadband service in the US.”
A Comcast spokesperson told The Lad that the changes to its home internet plans are due to a change in the way the company analyzes its customers’ data, and that “this change was not part of a business process change.”
The company added that it’s “always looked for ways to improve our customer experience,” and said it is working to “build a more connected, efficient, and cost effective Internet infrastructure.”
The changes are part of Comcast’s efforts “to be the fastest internet service provider in the United States,” the statement said.
Comcast’s home internet plan will now cost $75 a month.
Comcast will continue to provide unlimited broadband speeds and unlimited local TV service to its customers.
In February 2019, Comcast announced that it would offer $25 internet plans for people who sign up for Comcast service for the first time, but will offer $50 plans for existing subscribers.
Comcast said the changes would help “get people to take advantage of the new services that Comcast offers” for “the first time.”
Comcast’s monthly data plans are also increasing, with the company now offering 5GB of data per month for $40, and 10GB of free data per day for $60 a month for existing customers.
The move to offer 10GB monthly data to existing customers comes as Verizon is making a big push to get people to use more data for its home Internet.
Verizon announced plans to add 100 gigabytes of high-speed data to its data plans starting in January, and it plans to offer 50 gigabytes for $100 a month starting in February 2019.
Verizon is now offering customers $50 a month per year to have access to unlimited home internet and local TV services, up from its current $60 per month per user.
