In November, Comcast agreed to buy the broadband company VyStar, which includes Vyster, CenturyLink and the Vystex online banking service.
This deal will also include the Vxnet, which is the company’s internet and video video streaming service.
The acquisition will be one of the largest in broadband history, and could also be one for Vycast to get a larger chunk of the overall internet and cable business.
VyCast also has a deal with Comcast for a new video streaming platform called VyStix.
VyCast CEO Andrew Kostas told Forbes that he expects to see “more than 20,000 Vystars” with the acquisition, and that the acquisition will “help bring us in line with other video streaming platforms.”
As part of the deal, VyStars are also to be able to access the CenturyLink service.
Kostis said that CenturyLink will be able “to make some of our services available to our customers at no cost” once the deal is done.
This includes the Vyxstream, Vyxstix, VYstar, Vxstix Plus, Vyzstream, and Vyzstream V. In other words, customers won’t have to pay anything to access any of these services.
The VyxStream service, which was launched in 2018, includes video streaming and video chat apps.
The Vyx Stream is currently available in a beta version and is free, but the service is currently limited to the United States.
